
Bobby Morgan of Oklahoma City was a former major league infielder during the 1950s. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, the Philadelphia Phillies, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Chicago Cubs during eight seasons. With the Dodgers, he played along side some of the greats of the game - Jackie Robinson, Duke Snider, Carl Furillo, Roy Campanella. He also played in two World Series with the Dodgers, in 1952 and '53. His best season was with the Phillies in 1954, when he batted .262 with 14 home runs and 50 RBI in 135 games, mostly as the team's regular shortstop. He also had a good year in 1955 with the Phillies, batting .232 with 10 homers and 49 ribbies in 136 games. Morgan had a lifetime .233 batting average along with 53 homers and 217 RBI in 671 games.
